Area Sales Manager - Chennai 

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop good key customer relationship at different levels of decision making for achieving customer satisfaction, gathering market intelligence, achieving high conversion ratio (order:offer) of high value products (>3 crore) and ensure smooth order execution and cash flow.

  • Constantly update oneself with management practices adapted by the company and follow systematically.

  • Ensure revenue booking, invoicing and collection targets are met.

DESIRED PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE

  • Engineering graduate + MBA (Marketing) with 8-10 years experience in marketing of high value capital goods preferably imported machines used in manufacturing processes in engineering industries. Should be conversant with commercial terms for import of capital items and with shop floor practices.  Should be capable of making things happen using excellent customer relationships.

  • Should have track record of achievement with government and private sector customers.

  • Age around 30-35 years.

  • Good cummunicating and synergy skills needed.

The incumbent should possess specialist/technical skills and enjoy working with and through people.  He should be friendly and have the drive to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach.  The job environment requires actively influencing and motivating a variety of people in changing situations.  He should have strong influencing skills as selling a product or a concept must be accomplished by gaining willing acceptance.  He should enjoy challenging situations and possess the ability to work within the broad parametersof the organization.  He should be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, competitive, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and somewhat conventional and self-disciplined.  Activity, mobility, flexibility, variety and pace are also important aspects within the function.
